This might have been our second gig as a band! Violinist Esther Noh, pianist Angelica Sanchez, reed player J.D. Parran (and myself) were all clearly inspired that night. I realize now, that most of these compositions (except for "I Dig Facts, Man" and "Resolved") were written as "graphic scores" to "invite" the most open interpretation of the notated material. As I've mentioned in other places, part of this band's raison d'etre was to combine the sounds and improvisation of jazz with the sounds and compositional transparency of contemporary ("classical") chamber music. Also, the inter-personal chemistry was very positive.

the artists seem to downplay their achievement as something they just tossed together in the living room during pandemic lock down. Yet, it is a highly original take on the classic drums/sax duo.
