This set was recorded in September of 2009 at The Stone (NYC). It came about when Connie Crothers (1941 - 2016) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connie_Crothers asked me to play a solo set in her residency there. She said, "I would like you to participate in my Stone Residency" - I replied, "Wow, thank you! How about I do my set with Breakfast of Champignon(s)? - She said, "Kevin, I think people need to hear you do a solo set". I accepted the challenge. Thank you, Connie!

the artists seem to downplay their achievement as something they just tossed together in the living room during pandemic lock down. Yet, it is a highly original take on the classic drums/sax duo. A huge range of musical ground is covered, and emotional content. A great album in any context, I listen to it often. bob3
